Question about Otto Roth

I bought an Otto Roth DE razor (looks like a Gillette New) recently and I can't really find much information about the company. From what I understand Otto Roth inc. was a German company that was bought out by Gillette in 1926. Did Gillette us the Roth design for their Gillette New's? How long before the company was bought by gillette could they have been making that style of razor?

The Razor shaves great! So, I was curious to hear what you all know about it.

Some info on this forum about the Otto Roth razor:

From this thread:http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/95008-Info-please.
Gillette purchased Otto Roth in 1927. The Roth NEW, produced a few years later, was a co-branded product from the Otto Roth subsidiary.

Then, from some digging around on the web there's this:
Rotbart razors were made by Otto Roth, Berlin, a subsidiary of Roth-Buchner, G.m.b.H., which became a subsidiary of Gillette around 1927-1928. Rotbart means 'redbeard.' Other brand names were Robart-Mond Extra and possibly Gentleman Otto. If your razor has a comb guard it was made prior to WWII. Enjoy.
