Default Finally got my lather correct?

Ok, I've been having a hard time getting the whole creating lather business down and I just haven't been able to get a decent lather going. However today I decided to just keep adding water past where I normally would, the stuff just seemed to keep sucking up water until finally it almost exploded into what you see below. Have I finally got what I should be making?

I think it looks great, keep experimenting with it. Looks like you have it though. Congrats!

What's it like when you paint it on your face? Does it still look like that or is it thin and watery?
I'm still trying to get a decent lather which is thick but plentiful.

Congratulations. All good things come from a good lather.

There are a lot of variables in shaving; soap/creme, brush, hard/soft water. Now that you know what lather should be like, you've eliminated on of those variables and will have an easier time adjusting for the other variables.

Didn't need the picture to know the answer to your question was "yes"! While it may not be the best lather you'll ever make, you'll remember this one; I know because I went through EXACTLY the same process as you with exactly the same result (maybe 7 or 8 shaves in). Wow, what a difference it makes to have good lather. You're on the way now.
