Default LOW COST, SOTD "themed week" August 8th - August 14th 2011

As most Old School Wet Shavers, I strongly believe that a superior quality shave can be obtained with very cheap shaving items. During this week just add in your shots your very best, inexpensive tools! And, as always, have fun!

PREP: Hot shower with conditioner in beard
    RAZOR: Tornblom
    BRUSH: Simpson Chubby 2
UBER: SRD Sweet Patchouli + Bomb "Boheme" + Glycerin
    TONER: Thayers Lavender
    ASB: Sabon
    EDT: Guerlain Coriolan (Vintage)
RESULT: It's shaves like this that made me want to use a straight in the first place! The SRD/Bomb uberlather is a luxury in it's own right. And these two just go together like a 1960's Haight Ashbury Head Shop sponsored Love Fest. Between the strong patchouli vibe and the floral undercurrent, there's no way not to let go of your inhibitions in the shave den. When you combine it with this awesome blade restored by Neil Miller, you just know the day's gonna be great. My face was left smooth as a baby's butt after 2+ passes. It all got tied together with a phenomenal vintage scent from Guerlain, leaving me ready to take on the world!

I think this shave qualifies! Getting good shaves with this blade. I wonder if I damaged the first blade taking it out of the dispenser, because it was awful. New Willams tomorrow!

    Default Heirloom Kit

My shave kit from Thursday through Sunday this past week. The razor and brush will be heirlooms for my son when he's old enough.
