Feather AC Pro Super vs KAI Captain Titan Mild (blue)

From other posts I've gathered that they survived around 5 or so shaves, with the KAI Mild remaining smoother longer. Which one is better for sensitive skin and a coarse beard?

Any other comparisons? I've used Feather AS DE blades if that helps.

Feather Pros seems sharper, but the Kai's feel smoother. And last longer, but YMMV....I would try both and form your own decision, as one man's Super Iridium is another man's Derby's....

I'm a fan of the KAI. They seem to settle down quicker and last longer.
What I mean by that is I find any of the blades too keen right out of the box.
After a shave or two they settle down. This seems to happen quicker with the KAI for me.
As for the long lasting, I have 110 KAI blades and I'm thinking that will last me forever.
I can't remember the last time I changed them, especially in the Feather SS razor.

I have tried the Feather Pro and the KAI in my AC/SS at first I thought I liked the Feathers better but after the KAI is broke in it's very smooth and last a long time. I didn't keep track of the shaves but the KAI in there now must have at least 8 shaves and still nice and smooth.

I get a dozen shaves out of either, but the KAI Milds are gentler the first shave or two, whereas the Feather Super is weeper prone the first two shaves unless you use extreme concentration.

If they were both equally priced and equally available, I'd likely choose the Milds.

Beautiful. This was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.

Thanks.

I concur with the opinions on these two blades. Kai is smooth right from the first shave, feathers take a shave or two to smooth out. They both last me about 12-14 shaves. I prefer the Kai's.

I was surprised to use a Feather Pro Super for the first time a couple nights ago. It was very sharp but also very smooth--almost strangely smooth. I didn't have problems with it attacking me while I wasn't looking like the hype suggests. It was an easy shave. I might like them more than the KAI Captain Titan Milds, but it's too early to really say.

For the record: I think both blades are excellent. My top two. It's like comparinga Mercedes to a BMW, they are both great, but perhaps handle and perform slightly different which may appeal to different drivers....er....shavers....um...what were we talking about?

All I know is that it's not a good idea to be drunk while operating any of those!

The KAI Titan Milds are awesome blades. I just finished my 10th shave on one blade and finally tossed it. What a great performing, smooth blade.

Anyone know where i can get KAI blades from? Feather's arent too hard to find, but the KAI is almost impossible. Not to mention shipping to Australia is a killer.

If anyone is interested in doing a MO, ill be up for quite a few packets myself.

Kai Titan Milds are better, I have used one blade for up to 8 shaves. I don't like the feathers because after 3 shaves they start to get little brown spots, makes me think it's rust.

Try Telly here on B&B, that is where I got them (see the group buy on the Feather AC SS). I prefer the Kai over the Feather blades I have (pro Guard).

Oh wait, they stopped shipping first class mail, now the "cheapest" shipping option is $15. That sucks.

Looks like I may have to find my own source of blades. jatai.net offers free shipping worldwide if i buy over $50. so 4pks of professional blades work out to be $60 (or US$0.75/blade; or roughly 50% premium over the DE feather)
