The Ink Swap

I had an idea about creating a thread where we could meet up and trade ink samples. I contacted our friend Jim and he gave me the thumbs up. As long as it's only for trading inks, NO MONEY involved please.

I think this is a great opportunity for us to be able to share inks and get too know each other a bit better. I hope you guys like the idea as well.

Also if we can decide on a format to keep things simple once someone makes a trade you can list who you traded with and for what ink. That way we can keep track of what's available. (see below for example)


I'll start the swap by offering 4ml of the following inks to trade for what ever other inks someone offers

My Franken Ink (about 4 ml) which is a browny-grey colour made from a few J. Herbin inks.

I'd also like to add that if anyone is looking for something to put the ink in, self standing specimen Transport Tubes are handy.
I don't think you can buy them in less than 1000 ct. boxes. the cheapest I've seen them is about $50/1000

EDIT: I did find one place selling bags of 250. That's still a lot. Could be useful for shaving samples too I guess.
