    Default Shaving music!

I was shaving a few days ago while listening to music, but it didn't seem quite right listening to musical soundtracks and now I want to know what music makes you feel just a bit more relaxed while shaving.

So what do you gents listen to while shaving?

My favorite was "The Stripper" in the old Noxema ads ("Take it off. Take it ALL off.")

I usually listen to the sound of the blade slicing through hair, which I find quite relaxing. Otherwise I put on some Mozart concertos.

I'm especially fond of my Single Edge razors' singing as they slice through the whiskers with the greatest of ease. The 1924 model really loves to sing.

I can't listen to music while shaving, as a musician I just get too into the music and would end up decapitating myself with my straight!

The barber of Seville by Rossini comes to mind:

Mack the knife might go well with a straight. I love Sammy Davis Jr. version:

I use the Pandora app on my Iphone in a sound dock. Play the 50's and 60's Blues station. Trust me on this.

It has to be Peter Tosh's Steppin Razor.

"If you wanna live, treat me good, if you wanna live, live I beg you treat me good. I'm like a walking razor, don't you watch my size, I'm dangerous"

    Sage words.

My classical/shaving playlist on my mobile phone:

    Albeniz - Asurias
Alfven - Swedish Rhapsody no. 1
Bach - Brandenburg concerto no. 3, 1st movement
    Bach - Air
Bach - Bouree in E minor
Bach - Double violin concerto in D minor
Bach - Jesu, Joy of man's desiring
Bach - Partita no. 3 in E major for solo violin
Bach - Sheep may safely graze
    Bach - 'Sleepers, Wake!"
Beethoven - Piano sonata no. 8
Elgar - Pomp and circumstance march no. 1
Grieg - Peer Gynt suite no. 1
Grieg - Holberg suite for strings (1st movement)

You should really try these out. The ones from Bach work very well if you want to start big.

    Rammstein

Heavy, yet symphonic. And very powerful and moving.

And it's in German, to make my Merkur feel at home.

Love listening to Sinatra or with pandora playing some 40s+ jazz, blues & big band. Seeing some good ideas in this thread though.
