Two Brushes Just completed

Making good progress, thanks to the advice and help of many folks here.
I think these are my best two so far.



The green and black, #6 War Admiral, is a 24mm Finest from TGN
The white and black, #7 Secretariat, is a 24mm Silvertip from Whipped Dog Straights
The loft is around 45 to 48 on both. They both feel great in the hand.

I like the black and white one. Nice job!

Sorry for a dumb question but...

Are those reknots and if so, who made the original brushes ? Or have you made the handle - in which case it is a stunning piece of work.

Will you tell us how you get the marble look in your castings? (I'm assuming you meant you cast the plastic)

I believe he turned it on a lathe.

They both look pretty good, I really like the green/black handle one!!

I didn't cast them, I just turned them. I got that particular blank from TGN. The green and black I got from Rudy V.

Figured you was a Kentucky boy, what with those horsey names for the brushes. I have a friend who is a custom knife maker that uses KY Derby winners for his product names too. really nice work.

I was tempted to get those from you earlier (those are the handles you showed in the thread with the 2 I just got from you, aren't they?), but thought I should give someone else a chance. Very nice lookers, Bob.
