    Default Time to check in

So I have been wet shaving for a bit over a month now. I won a PIF from Chadtheguru and I must admit I have not used the razor. Just while it was being delivered I found a slim adjustable that is in really good shape locally. So I have been using that. I had ordered a sampler from West Coast Shaving, and have also acquired a Simpsons Berkeley Best Badger Shaving Brush 46B. I think my hardware is in good shape. I have been going through the blades on a setting of 3 and so far have managed to not cut myself. though I have had a few rough shaves. I like all the blades so far except the BIC ones. I have sensitive skin and I read somewhere they are supposed to be smooth if the not the sharpest. Ouch they left me red and raw. Then I tried the Feather, wow, smooth and sharp, no issues just a close shave. The Alum did not even sting. I like the Derby and the Israeli Red and Blues, and Astra but seem to really like the Feathers. I have cranked the Feather up to 4 (the highest I have gone). I expected the Feathers to be harsh on my skin but I really seem to like them, I may have to order a brick.

funny thing is my X-wife says my face looks good and smooth! If the X notices I guess there is something to it. Now to try the super speed as I went to town with some Blue magic metal polish on it and it looks pretty good. My family thinks I am insane! I have a small bathroom and it is going to get smaller so that will keep the AD down for now! I think hardware wise I am set, but may pick up a "new" razor, they are small after all.

Oh and I finally got some Arko that should be fun trying. (did I just say fun when referring to shaving?) My technique seems to be getting better every shave.

Ok the Arko stick is amazing! Closest shave ever, I think it could be called BBS for sure. I do have a bit of over all irritation though. Not bad, just a bit of burn. Face lathering was easy and very quick! I may just be a convert to face lathering, especially if I can get rid of a piece of hardware (the mug) as that is helpful in my small shave den. I will try a new blade as it was the fifth shave on the Feather blade and kind of felt a bit rough. If you can believe it I am trying to keep my supplies (hardware and software) in a 6 inch by 10 inch basket. That is my limit so the Arko may do me well! I put every thing back in it and on a shelf after the shave, now if I could get the rest of the family to put there stuff away!

I was looking at a new to me house and it had three very nice bathrooms, and I would have my own, and I thought wow, this would be a nice place to shave! I am getting hooked, for sure.
