2 x straight razor restoration / re-scaling kit.
For the man (or woman of course!) wanting to try their own hand at some restoration / scale making, here is a nice way to get started.
Both kits includes, apart from the blade of course (see below for blade information) one set of bloodwood scales. 1/8" thick, roughly shaped, sligtly oversized so you can change the general shape slightly, edges are
chamfered roughly. Put together with double-sided tape.
You decide how much sanding & finishing you want to put into them before assembly.
Bloodwood in general is very hard & durable, but still isn't to difficult to work with.
Regular sandpaper & drill bits work well.
Also included are brass pins & washers & a set of friction washers that may or may not be used, a matter of preference really.
And an oversized 1/8" thick piece of black acrylic for use as a wedge spacer.
I have only lightly polished the blades to get a better idea of their state.
I have no doubt what so ever that both blades should turn out to be great shavers.

SOLD C.V Heljestrand MK#30 9/16 full hollow ground. Genuine ivory scales SOLD
Those are supposed to be 4/8, but most of them are a tad bigger, like this one.
Does the MK-series by Heljestrand need any further introduction?
I, who am biased of course, feel that they are the best straight razors ever made.
And yes, the MK#30 takes just as supremely wonderful an edge as does the bigger MK31-33.
Exactly the same.
The scales are genuine ivory, original pinning, very clean.
I have waxed them with beeswax, thats all & they will be good to go another 100 years or so.
Hold the blade nice, centered & snug.
The blade is in very nice condition, very small hone-wear. Blade is very nice. only real marks that are on it is faintly visible originall grindmarks.
Shave-ready & tested on my own mug.
Honed up to 0.125µ CBN for a very sharp yet very comfortably MK-series edge.
Comes stropped, sanitized & lightly oiled.
Asking $82 shipped from Sweden to just about anywhere in the world.
