Does anyone use Astra Superior Stainless?

I have been busting through ntguy's huge sampler(22 different blades), and so far I have found that I like the Treet Classic, and Astra Superior Stainless.

I was looking to see if some of our other vendors sold the Stainless, and I came up empty. Does this mean there are very few who use this blade? It seems that everyone carries the Platinum, but I have found that Platinum blades are very unconfortable for me. Not cuts/nicks just tuggy, if that is a word.

Are those the same as the superior platinum? I love those.

I just bought some at Bestshave.net, but I haven't tried them yet. Thanks for the comment about them.

After using both for quite some time, I find that I actually like the superior stainless better. I always figured that the platinum would be smoother but I find the opposite. I get some nicks and irritation with the platinum that I do not get with the superior stainless version. I find it cuts through stubble easier, thus requires less passes and less irritation for me.

I have quite a bit of the Astra SS, I like the blade smooth and sharp.

I use them, love them and buy them in bulk. I usually buy mine from Fendrihan, but most of the vendors I use carry them. I pay about $18 to $22 for 100 blades.

Not quite the same, but excellent nonetheless.

I've never seen the SS stocked here in Oz, but then again I've always been happy with Astra platinum so I haven't searched too hard.

There are mot the same blade as the Astra SP, but are excellent. For people in Australia try Barber & Hairdressing Supply in Sydney on 1800 888 012.

You should find them on the ebay, anyway I find the blades always cheaper there as on shaving gear webs

I picked up a 5-pack of these from another member in a trade, and I liked them a lot. I didn't have any SPs left over so I couldn't do a head-to-head comparison, but I think I prefer the SS version to the SP.

I did the comparison, and a little tuggy on the Platinum, and smooth on the Stainless. I know this is a YMMV thing, but I assume that the SS has less coatings on the blade than the SP. I know my other blade fav is a carbon blade, I guess there is little, if any coating on those.
