Really Nice Shaving Bowls. Really Nice Price

Been using a couple bowls I picked up last winter at a Craft Show. Very attractive hand thrown multi-use pottery bowls I got for about $10 (PS..art shows and the like are great spots to find additions for your soap collections).

Last week I found myself at a local Wal-Mart. Here I see an exceptionally fine looking display of handmade bowls in two sizes....one fits a small soap puck perfectly; the other is a tad larger, great for lathering up the cream of your choice. $6.00 for the pair.

This weekend...World Market. Handmade pottery rice bowls. Again, PERFECT size for a small puck..$2.49. Very attractive piece here too.

I'm suggesting should any of you all out there feel like putting together a small collection of nicely made shave bowls and don't feel like spending $40, $50, $60 and up for one....check out the local discount venues. You may be very pleasantly surprised.

I looked at Walmarttius and didn't see anything worth using. I went to a local Asian market and all they had were cheap and ugly plastic ones that didn't really suit me. Haven't been to an art show yet.

Whenever I roll to an antique store I always look at their mugs/glasses/bowls/etc. looking for similar thing, shaving bowls on the cheap heh. So far I have found zero. I have an Old Spice mug from the BST (which I want more of heh) and I have an EJ chrome, metallic bowl that works, but I don't really like.

I will second the request for pics too ;) .
