The old carbon steel injector blades. All of the modern stainless blades available are made by either Schick or Personna/ASR.

    +1
It is just soap, hot water and a sharp blade. It isn't rocket science or a Zen ritual.

I'm confused. Did you mean stay away from the Schick/Personna/ASR blades? I thought they were the good ones.

Sorry for the confusion, stay away from the old carbon steel injector blades. Schick and Personna are the only companies still making injector blades and they are good. I prefer the Chinese Schicks myself.

In addition to the modern ones, if you can find NOS Schick Plus Platinums or Personna 74s you will be very happy!

The only ones to buy in my opinion.

    Oh, gosh yes!
Since there's a ready source for the P74s, here:
    http://www.amazon.com/Personna-Injec...1628070&sr=8-1
I recommend picking up a pack or 2. They're faboo!
I get about 5-7 shaves from a chinese schick before the edge starts to degrade. Not bad. They're cheap. No worries.
Yes, I'm well past my 10th shave on the P74 and it still shaves like new.

Gotta agree, the Personna 74 blades are in a world of their own.

They haven't made P74s since the 70's. Everyone here is raiding old stock that you can still find online here and there.

Hehe. He's been a member since Nov. 2009, but he posted on July 25th.
If you follow the link in my reply, that will take you to a vendor on Amazon that carries the original, NOS blades.
They ain't makin' them anymore, and if you're relatively committed to injector shaving for awhile, you'll appreciate these blades.

I just recently got my Injector, and the first shave was with a EMS blade very good shave, Then I received some Vintage Schick plus platinum blades not so good a shave. I did use different lather each time maybe that was the cause.

WWW.EMSDIASUM.COM... the cheapest injector blades I have found (20 pack for $4.50+shipping or $4.30 a pack if you buy a 10 lot), yes Schick still makes the blades not as good a deal though (7 pack for $7.21 shipped from ebay.)
I Just received my 10 lot today total cost with shipping (UPS to Florida) was about $56, judging by the cost of shipping ($13) a 10 lot is the only way to go.

Oh, another question about injector blades/injectors...can the blade cases be reloaded.

Yes, with care not to dull the edge or cut yourself. You have to use something to push the spring down then slide the other blade in. Makes sense if you have trouble with the plastic bodied injectors to reload them into a used metal one.

Gary's correct, I move injector blades from one razor to another all of the time. The key on another dispenser works great to push the spring down in the dispenser you're loading the blade into.

Yes..... but clarify your question please. Blades can be moved from one case to another (I do this because the EMS plastic cases are !#@$#!$#$%$y), but you can't buy loose blades to load into a dispenser you already have.
