I like a cursive italic nob, Sam at Pendemonium does my nib grinding.

I love my cursive italics. I have about 5 of them. I also love a stock Montblanc. It pains me to even think about turning one CI, but I did on a 149. BTW, still looking for a nice 149 in B :)

This is such a fun addiction :=)

The lamy nibs are supposed to be easy to swap, and fit the safari, al-star, and maybe some others. The pilot 78g B nib is actually a stub, and I think writes quite well. I think mine was 12 bucks. I agree with the other poster that 1.5 may be a tad wide for practical use. I'm not sure what my pilot is, but I take notes with it sometimes and it works fine. the sense I get is that finding Italic nibs at low prices can be a challenge. Most vintage pens command a premium for italics if you can find them, and many of the usual suspects only come f/m/b. Pelikan nibs are interchangeable, and Richard Binder has a variety of nibs available for each model (many of which are his custom grinds). He prices them without the nib so you can add on a custom. I got a cursive Italic on an M200 for under 100 bucks from him IIRC. But then the Pelikan nib units are only about 25 bucks a pop if you want to swap (I don't get on with the CI, so I'm probably going to order an F or M).

You weren't being cryptic..... I kind of miss that pen.... but it went to such a great home ( that gold contributors badge really paid off)!!!! After getting back into the Duofolds I may have to look again at the Glenmont.... It's a great Edison take on the Duofold.

I knew you'd remember it! What a pen indeed. It makes my horrible writing look good.

For You out there that don't remember this... Maxman won the special Gold Contributors prize in the last Mr. Scruffy extravaganza. One of the prizes was that Glenmont....with that.65 cursive italic it is a great writer. I was really happy to see it go to a FP Lover !!!!
