    Default My first restoration

Well I finally finished my first restore. I had a very easy candidate as this brush the knot popped right on out with little effort leaving me a nice handle to work with, and very little work. Just clean it up a bit, and polish it with some Flitz, then get the knot and some epoxy and done.

I went with a 22mm Super Silvertip knot for this restore as I already have some brushes with other knots, and I have to say initially it seems very promising. I kept the knot hole the same size and so it's a little loftier than some might want at about 53-54mm, but the density doesn't seem to suffer at all. Just a new beautiful lucite handled brush I can use and look at!

I love the old lucite handles. I'm waiting for one myself in the mail and I hope that the knot in my brush comes out as easily!

By the way, which handle is that? Is the name and model # listed on the bottom?

The handle is an Ever Ready 500N, and thank you all for the comments! I got around to using it here just a little bit ago and it was very nice! Could use a little more backbone I think, but it still works very well! Very pleased with it! I'll try to get a post bloom up sometime soon.

Lucites can be a challenge. And nylon can be a headache. Nice job!
