Default FS: Vintage/NOS Gillette Platinum Plus (made in USA) Blades

    Hi There,

The realization has finally come that I have amassed way too much shaving stuff to ever use in my lifetime . As a result, I have some seriously wonderful blades up for sale. I've used every blade I could get my hands on, and these are by far my favorite. I've tried swedes, and if you like those, you'll like these.

I am not certain when these blades were produced, but they shave like a dream. I have a mixed bag with 5, 10, or 15 blades-per-pack. Some of the cardboard packaging is yellowing, dog-eared, etc. but all the blades and dispensers look great. No water damage, mildew, or anything that I can see. I've shaved with a bunch of these so far, and had no issues. They last me a good 10-20 shaves per blade, which is much longer than most currently on the market.

I have something like 1500 blades I could stand to part with. I really do love these blades, so will start with the following pricing:

    50-199 blades = $1 per blade
    200-499 blades = $0.90 per blade
    500-799 blades = $0.80 per blade
    800-1099 blades = $0.70 per blade
    all 1500 blades = $0.65 per blade

Will only charge actual shipping via USPS, PayPal fees (usually ~3%), will be passed to the buyer unless paying by postal money order. Insurance available at your cost.

All-in pricing for smaller numbers of blades shipped priority mail in the US, paid via paypal:
    100 would be $108.44
    150 would be $159.94
    160 would be $170.24

Feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions.

    Thanks.

    J

So if I was to buy all 1500 blades, at your lowest price of .65 each, you are asking $1004.25, (which includes 3% for paypal fees,($29.25), but not including shipping??

While these blade are not cheap by any means, it is quite difficult to procure such large qualities. We are talking about a huge amount of a disposable item that has been out of production for many years, at least 20 I believe. I think many can relate to where you are coming from, but it is best to keep comments to a minimum unles you feel that the price is out of line. And for something like this, at least in the larger quantities, I don't believe it is.

the word is "tempted", not "attempted," and If you ever shaved with one of these blades...you would know their value. good offer here, PM sent.

If you would like to try a vintage blade, PM me with your address.

no- the spoliers were made earlier (mid 60s) and were stainless blades. these are stainless with platinum/other materials coatings.

    Hey There,

I'm afraid they won't be very economical to ship in such small volumes. But that said, I just weighed a 15-pack, and I think I could do one for $19 including US-shipping/fees.

Also in other news, I just found 240something in the plastic dispensers.

    Cheers.
