Default What do you store your your straights in?

I would like a box similar to a humidor to hold my straights. Actually a wooden pencil box may be fine even. What do others use? Show off those boxes no matter how ugly or superb the craftsmanship! Thanks!

I made these last week. First one is made of a plastic case for tools, with foam inlay, keeping 14 straights, second is made of a Wooden Lipton Tea box, foam inlay covered with black felt, this one keeps 7 straights.

Don't have pictures of them at work, but I use some nicer cigar boxes (LE ones built like humidors) and my old humidors for storage. I quick smoking cigars a few years ago and needed to make use of them somehow.

Why not search for humidors? Then you can just do what Zephyr did and cut some foam to fit the box and cut some holes for the razors. Then you can grab some felt or velvet or whatever you think looks nice to lay on the top (to make it look pro like Zephyr's heh). That probably wouldn't be too hard and I have seen some nice humidors in the past. The best part would be you don't need the expensive stuff with the humidors (humidifiers and temperature stuff).

Another option (and I have seen people around the forum using these) is a case made for some artist markers. I have the brand of marker funny enough and I have a dozen of the cases and they look like they would store razors quite well. The pockets are the right size and the cases aren't ugly. Their site also sells some marker stands (like the ones they use at art supply stores to sell the markers out of) that MIGHT work, I don't own any of the stands so I can't say for sure if a razor would fit or not.

A coffee cup currently but I'm rapidly approaching the end of being able to do that. I've been thinking of getting one of these http://www.alembicproducts.com/

Those are pretty slick. Especially the tea box. I think those aluminum handgun cases you can buy at any sporting goods store would make a good looking case if you were to add your own foam like you did with the one on the left.

I don't have a box, but I do keep my straights in a pipe rack right on my shave counter. Looks good, and is neat.

Wow, those AlmbiCases are actually decently priced too. Not like over the top but they look like solid cases. They are even adjustable to fit different razors which is pretty slick.

Lets see John has 5 sets of 5 drawers with 10 razors in each drawer. Those aren't the same grade as he puts in the BST at ...well the other place....either.Ohhhh John. I was feeling good about my 10 razors til you came along. Well not quite. I made a decision to have 10 razors because I just don't want that many. There are many other toys I would put the rest of your investment in rather than razors but Thank you for showing us the drawers and the beautiful razors too! I had thought of a multilevel setup with my stones one and razors on another. So many options.
