slim adjustable and a great razor.....you could start and end your DE shaving life with that thing. rock solid construction, adjustable, smooth shave....

very nice acquisition. i have one i use regularly, but it was not handed down to me, so yours will have great meaning to you. do NOT sell it, even if it doesn't work out the 1st few shaves. mine took some technique before i could use it properly, but once i found the correct technique, i LOVE it.

Nice razor, especially since it has family value. But savor that stash of Personna 74 blades, too.

Coming from your Gramps, that whole set-up is priceless. The Slim is an excellent razor, but you should know that those blades are a real treasure trove. The P74 is the longest-lasting DE blade ever produced, the Spoilers are legendary for comfortable shaves, and the Super Blues ain't bad either. You've been gifted with years of irreplacable fantastic shaves. Congratulations! Make sure to convey your appreciation to the old boy!!

I'm sorry, is there a razor in those pics?

I can't see anything but a gold mine of Personna 74s.

Just for fun, go and see what those P74s sell for on ebay. I think you'll have a whole new appreciation for what you've got here.

Like the others have said, coming from your grandpa that is a priceless collection. If you look where the handle connects to the head by the Gillette diamond there should be a letter and a number across from it, that will tell you the year and quarter that razor was made.

the Slim is my favorite razor.

But, as others have said, while Slims are easy to come by, the Personna 74s are, for some, the "holy grail" of blades.
