Default Tabac EdC and 7411 local finds in the States

After reading it in another thread (I can't remember which one or I would link it) I took the poster's advice and looked in the discount perfumery in my local mall (Perfumania). I walked in and asked if they had a product called Tabac expecting a weird look and the sales lady said "sure, we do. Right over here." I walked with her and they had both the EdC and the EdT. I looked a little to the right and I saw the 4711 EdC bottles in two sizes, aftershave, and a gift pack with the cologne and body wash.

If anyone is curious about these but doesn't want to blind buy them (like me) head to your local mall and they probably have it waiting for you.

The funniest part of the whole trip was when the lady was trying to sell me the "trendy" colognes the whole time. Nothing against them, but I prefer the classic scents for me but she just didn't seem to get it.

I always enjoy visiting the stand-alone discount perfume store. After an on-line search for something new or off the beaten path when looking for a new Fragrance or After Shave, 9 times out of 10 they'll have it for the same or competitive price, INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

although it's not carried in the stores, Perfumania's website carries Tabac aftershave...

Just took a look at the Perfumania web site and saw that the Tabac EDT Spray (3.4 oz) is on sale for $9.99 as a clearance item. I enjoy the aftershave, cologne (EDC) and shave soap, but never tried the EDT. It seems to get mixed reviews here...mostly negative.

When I was buying the Tabac I asked to smell a sample of the EdT. The sales lady said that she couldn't open it but it smells EXACTLY like the EdC. I have read enough here to know that t doesn't smell the same but I didn't want to argue with her about it.

Badly informed salespeople, annoying. Always nice to know more about a product than the people who are trying to sell it to you.

JR Cigar in North Carolina sells full ranges of both Tabac and 4711. Unfortunately, it's just the conventional 4711--I haven't found anywhere yet CONUS that carries 4711's Eau de Portugal.

Those perfume shops at the discount outlet malls always seem to have a couple bottles of Tabac on the shelf.
