If you haven't tried the rose, you should. It performs just as well as the avocado with an amazing rose smell.

I haven't tried it yet, but it is on my list. The most moisturizing thing I own is MWF almost too moist for me.

The Avocado is nice, but I like the Body Shop Cream. I have been saving a tub of old formula in the brown tub. I get some irritation from something in TOBS that I don't get from The Body Shop.

Anything Fitjar beats all the creams from the 3Ts IMO.

I presume you used all the creams of 3t's before, right?

so based on what i'm reading here, ToBS > GFT's?
I got a sampler pack from GFT and to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed

I've only used samples of GFT but I can honestly say my tubs of TOBS have blown it out of the water in every category.

I recently received both my TOBS Avocado and Nancy Boy Replenishing (sample) in the same order. I hadn't read anything about NB's scent beforehand, so I went at it with a virgin nose. I get a very mild, muddled cucumber from it. It's nice, but I much prefer TOBS Avocado's take on the cucumber as it smells so much cleaner and fresh. Thanks for the tip!

When I first joined here I bought the TOBS Avocado and about 3 dozen other soaps and creams.
TOBS Avocado works great; excellent lather and glide, and leaves the skin soft.
My issue was the scent - to me it screamed "old lady in a flower shop".
I switched to JM Fraser and never looked back.

Ill be honest, i havent read through the pages of this thread. But, I did want to recommend my favorite 3 creams/soaps

    Tabac
    Santa Maria Novella
    P. 160 Morbido

You owe it to yourself to try them out. I particularly have had a huge SMN kick right now, and dont be foolded that its a more expensive knock off of Proraso.

I'm in the middle of working through the T & H and GFT samplers. I've tried the T & H Sandalwood, Limes, and Trafalgar and Trumper Coconut, Rose, Limes, and GFT. I've found the T & H Sandalwood and Trumper GFT to be most to my liking followed by Trumper Rose. T & H does seem to cushion better to me ( Sandalwood much better than Trafalgar). I really can't wait to finish both samplers b/c I want to try Taylor's Avocado, Rose, and Eton College. I has previously been under the impression that Taylor's creams were not supposed to be anywhere near as good as the other 2 T's, but it sounds like I might be mistaken!

I'd suggest you give soaps a chance. MWF and Cella are moisturizing to my skin. YMMV. Get some samples.

I repeat, I nearly used all 3T's creams, nothing better than Avocado.

Also, the over hyped cella is not par with avocado. Dont like the bitter almond scent. Performance wise its is successful but not super slick or moisturizing. One could compare it with tabac or arko but not with avocado. Overall I find cella is just a good product thats all.

Still havent tried mwf though, but I suspect that its also a over hyped product like cella, arko, musgo real etc. My -oh so bad glycerin- qed soaps would bury them all.

Avocado was (is) my first cream purchase based on a lot of reviews here at B&B. I also have GFT Limes Soap and Proraso Green Tub but the Avocado seems to be leagues ahead of both of these in terms of comfort during- and post-shave. I have cream samplers on the way from T&H, GFT and QCS, which will be great to try, but I'm glad I have a full tub of Avocado on deck at all times.

Well perhaps not all but I tried all the creams in the T&H sampler, the Trumpers sampler and 10 TOBS samples including the famed Avocado, that I got from Shaveshoebox. My experiences with Fitjar creams were better than any of them. You might of course argue that samples of not representative of the real thing.
