Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was enjoying a couple chocolate chip cookies and a little Highland Park 18yr this evening and I wondered if everyone knew about this amazing paring. A nice, slightly overdone cookie, my preference, and a slightly smokey, sweeter scotch cannot be beat. My favorite is Highland Park of any age but Islay whisky works well too. Anyone else?

I've never done this, but I sure am going to tonight!

I've heard of this and even passed it along to a few folks over the years but never done it myself. I pair whiskey with a lot of different things including chocolate but sweet things aren't my cup of tea. The only chocolates I really like with scotch tend to be really dark high cacao chocolates.

Interesting mix. If I drank alcohol I'd give it a go for sure.
I do eat a lot of cookies though. Maybe too many.

I like your thinking. Do you cut your Islay whisky? I can't drink any of the ones I've tried without a splash of cool water.

And BigRich, I prefer the dark chocolates as well.

I do a splash too. I'm not a big peat guy. Moderate works for me.
