    Default Razorock Products

I'm interested in trying some of the razorock products, as I have heard so many great things about them.

I was wondering if anyone has tried an array of the products, and can not only comment on the soap cream that they offer, but also on the aftershave wax and preshave gel that they just recently started to make.

If I'm going to start out with a razorock cream soap, which should I buy first, the fresco or the xxx?

I've been using RazoRock XXX cream with the new pre-shave gel every day for over two weeks. I bought them based on recommendations here on B&B.

I have mixed reviews on both. The cream makes a very luxurious lather and the scent is heavenly--one of the very best I've ever used. On the down side, the container is very difficult to open with wet hands. Also, the cream absorbs water and after a week it turned to a pudding-like consistency that is disappearing alarmingly fast. It will surely be gone in another month.

The gel is the first pre-shave I've used. It seems counter-intuitive to apply an oil-based product before a water-based soap--like some form of salad dressing--but the products seem to work well together. With a good Omega boar, the result is a luxurious shave experience. I don't know I will buy the cream/soap again if it disappears in six weeks, though. And I still don't know if the gel actually adds anything to shave quality.

I am now leaving the top off the cream between shaves so that it will hopefully dry out (and add a great fragrance to the bathroom).

Haven't used any of their creams, but I got one of their alum 'sticks' and really like it. I'm sure it's overpriced for the convenience, but it works really well for me. Give it a wipe on my wet face after shaving, put the top back on and done.

+1 on the RazoRock roll on style of Alum stick. Compact, convenient, and lasts. I have not tried any of the shaving soaps, but I hear great things about them mostly.

I have this and it's terrific, so much so that I also ordered the Fresco.
I also agree that the container needs a redesign.

Re the Pre-Shave, it's the best I have tried of this lot:
    AOS Oil<---not even close.
    PacificShave Oil<---not even close.
    Floid Sandalor <---a close 2nd.

I reordered some just in case. I believe that in a pinch, it can be used as a brushless shave. Try it and if you don't like it, I will buy it from you.

I have the XXX and the aftershave wax. I find the xxx to be more cushioning then the Biegelo I was using before.
Honestly, at their price point, you cannot get much better of a product.

I have everything but the wax. Nothing but great things to say about the creams...great scents, great latherability and non-drying. The shave gel...I've used a pre-shave, and probably need to do some more testing to properly report on the benefit of using it as a pre-shave (rub on only half my face, and then lather up the whole face with a cream and see if I can tell a difference). I also need to try it as a stand alone shave gel, as if it's good, it could be my go-to for traveling. The alum block is a alum block, but is a great one b/c of the container.

All in all, Joe's done an amazing job of creating a great value line for wet shavers. Amazing performance, totally affordable. Right up my alley.

Assuming Canada decides to re-join the western world and offer postal service soon, I'm going to buy the gel and test it as my travel kit, along with a Bic Precision, witch hazel and no brush, on my next jaunt to Chicago. I think it will work better than the men-u 'trio'. Developing...

If you have lots-o-lather leftover I'd cut down my load time, ~ 10 seconds, I don't know how wet your brush is when loading, but giving it a GENTLE Squeeze should keep the excess moisture from remaining on your cream.

1st thing i do with my RazoRock creams is transfer them into empty "screw top" lotion containers that we have laying round from the our kids. i can't stand those snap on lids. proraso was the same, it's on the left. middle is XXX and far right is 2 tubs of RazoRock original in an old body butter container.

+1. I've used my Razorock original a good 20 times, and it's just starting to show use. A little goes a long way with this stuff (IMO).
