Altitude and lather?

I was wondering if altitude would affect lathering up, reason I ask is I live in the mountains and I have noticed lathering seems a little different higher up than it did when I lived in a lower area.

Is it possible the altitude difference could change things, like baking is different higher up, certain carbs perform differently on bikes cars and so on.

What's your elevation?

Usually my lather will tend to rise more in the oven - have to reduce the amount of baking soda by 50% or so.

Seriously, I have not noticed a difference. Dry air has a big effect however.

The Lather Maestro
I love this place because it lets me know there are people on this earth who are more anal than I am!

It's probably not the change in pressure, but the lower relative humidity at altitude. :wink2:

I haven't noticed any difference in lather at 9,200 ft (brothers cabin) from the 800 ft (home) . I would assume that maybe it is a water quality issue as opposed to altitude.

There'll probably be a slight difference in the size of the air bubbles in general due to pressure differences between high and low altitudes
