    Default Coffee/Drink and a Shave?

    Anybody else doing this?

A friend of mine used to swear by the idea of taking a beer into the washroom as part of the shower and shave routine. I don't typically shave at night, so I don't get to go for a drink and shave. But, I have recently started taking a cup of coffee into the washroom with me. From start to finish, between the shower, prep, building lather, shave, AS, and clean up, I can gladly use up about 30 minutes in the morning. So having a cup of coffee at hand just adds to the routine - it is an extra enjoyment.

What 'extra' do you take with you when you go for a shave?
Razors don't shave people. People shave people!

while your coffee is brewing, fill your mug with very hot water. the coffee will stay hot longer.. (while you're showering ect.)

For my morning shave I like to set up shots of whiskey along the bathroom counter and after every pass I knock one back... Just kidding... Depending on how tired I am in the morning I'll have a cup of tea/coffee.

Coffee. 2 cups by the time I'm showered shaved and dressed. Keep a coffee maker in the bedroom.

Had a few beers before shaving at night. Didn't influence the shave that much, I was very relaxed though. I always rock some music while shaving and sometimes drink a beverage (soda, coffee, tea or whatever).

While this does sound relaxing, I don't like sugar, milk, or shaving soap in my tea.

Great thread! I find that a drink enhances the entire experience. Coffee for morning shave, non-negotiable for me! Evenings...beer, bourbon, wine, depends on what we're having!

For me, a nice leisurely shave is one of the better bonuses of wet shaving. Still, nice as it is, there's a limit to how long I want to spend in the crapper. Time enough for a cup of coffee is a few hairs too long.

    Process. Coffee-smoke, second coffee-iron suit, thirdcoffee-shave, fourth/fifth/more - work.

I love coffee, thank god I mostly drink instant these days though, if I did that with fresh brewed coffee I'd have a heart attack.

Well depends on the day, and working that day or not. Generally though I fire up the percolator and grind my own beans...preferably Sumatran...take a hot mug in the wash room with me, it dose add to the experience and relaxation, I also have a smoke as well as coffee and a cigarette go well together. However I am currently on Chantix...so hopefully my smoking will go the way of the Dodo.

I usually start the coffee when I hope in the shower and then have a cup while shaving. To me it adds a nice touch.

A good espresso will get cold in 3-5 min. So unless someone prepares it for you at the right moment, I can´t imagine how you could drink coffee between shaves.
