Default I can't imagine using a Cartridge Razor now...No. Seriously.

I came across a boarding pass from May 06. My first shave I ever took with a safety razor was on the 17 September 2006. That being the case, you could deduce that back in May, I was using a CR. I have absolutely no recollection of packing my Mach 3 or cartridges. Yet, I suppose I did, as we were gone for a week.

It seems so foreign to me now. I wish I knew then what I know now. It kills me to think of all those great shaves I missed out on. [sigh.]

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Actually, yes! I totally relate to this, Duggo. While in Cancun a month ago, I brought along some of those neon green and black disposable Bic M3 type razors...it was a very strange experience.

I started using a DE almost exactly when you did. Probably a little earlier in Sept. Its weird to think I've been using a DE for 10 months now. But thats 10 months of great shaves!

I've used a cartridge a few times since then. It just feels so light and flimsy. I also can't get anywhere NEAR BBS with a cartridge. I rarely get a 5:00 shadow or signs of stubble with my DE. If I do, its usually later on into the night. With my cartridge, I feel like I need to shave again at 3:00!

For over twenty years I have kind of kept an eye out for shave soap as I traveled. But since finding B&B I have added creams to the list and it adds an interesting twist to traveling. I picked up a mint Gillette travel razor and enjoy using it with the new products I buy while traveling. Check out my Mediterranean shave adventure posts.
    Relax...Take it easy...Enjoy the lather.

Yes, after 3 months of DE shaving, I've just thrown my Mach 3 away

I used my M3, to much discomfort, on vacation a couple weeks ago. It just seems to pull hairs instead of actually cutting them.

for me the M3 was always getting clogged up...I would make one swipe and then the blades were completely gummed up. I suppose it didn't help that I only shaved once a week...but still...
