This is my first post. I'm new to DE shaving, 3 weeks now. Wow, what a difference. I used cartridge razors for 40 years and was driving blind. I had no idea how a good a shave could be. I recently purchased a Merkur 38C Barber Pole razor, a EJ badger brush, some Poraso shaving soap, a sample pack of blades, and a small selection of after shaves (I prefer the lighter barber shop stuff ie: Lucky Tiger Aspen, Osage Rub, & Gabels Bay Rum). So far the Gillette 7 Clock blades (yellow pack & Russian made) are my favorites. Now, I look forward to shaving every morning (warm lather, sharp blade, nstead of it being a routine chore that it was once done quickly in the shower with an expensive ,disposable, mediocore blade. Now, I get it.
