Update,

Photos of all three versions of the R41 are attached. The 2011 model is top left. The 2009 model is top right. The 2007 model is bottom left. It should now be clear to everyone that all three razor heads are SIGNIFICANTLY different.

I have the R41. Can't imagine why they would want to redesign it.

Maybe to make it more aggressive? The current R41 is exceptionally mild for an OC razor.

It's hard to tell from the picture what the difference is. Does the new one have long combs vs. the short combs of the current model?

Looks pretty cool to me. I think I found the next razor that I am gonna experiment with. The new head kinda looks like the Eclipse, sort of.

Any idea where this is being sold? I must have it, oc rad kicking in... again.

It appears that Nashville Knife Shop has the new model.

Hmm, it's definitely a new design. I'd want to see how it holds a blade, personally. Looks like it'll be monstrously aggressive from this pic.

Is that a blade I see in there? Good god, it's curved less than in a Feather All Stainless. And I thought that razor needed a steep angle....

perhaps to bring it up to the fit/finish/quality of Muhle, as opposed to the sub-standard quality/finish of the Merkur head?

The new razor is now available. Has anyone bit the bullet yet and ordered one?
