Well this is possibly my last shave from the box. I'll go back tonight and check that there is nothing I want to try and if not pack it up and post tomorrow.

So I started out again with the final bit of my Figaro sliver. This is definitely a good soap - much easier to lather than the VDH yesterday! I think if I saw this in a chemist I'd grab some because, well, just because I could!

So the Figaro is again a

Finished off with the Bozzano Mentholado. Now I don't speak Brazilian but with a name like that I'm thinking that it will be another menthol bomb.

So I slap it on and....

... well nothing really! No menthol burst peeling my face off, just nothing. What a snore! Face doesn't feel particularly great either, not bad but not refreshed like after some of them.

So the Bozzano Mentholado is a

Well this morning was all a bit strange really.

I'd packed and sealed the box last night ready for posting. So this morning's shave was back to normal. Since I was using the C&E Nomad body soap I got for Father's Day (wife is a big C&E fan [ sigh]) I used my C&E Nomad shaving soap with my Semogue 1305 boar to give my Chubby a rest. Finished off with my Pinaud Virgin Islands Bay Rum (although I think I prefer the Ogallala now!).

It was all very, well, normal, really. The box has gone and reality has returned!

So the box went in the post this morning. Tracking number 850200221251 (the Auspost website even says it is lodged!)

Big thanks to Brendan for coordinating this and to those who contributed

GershwinInParis - the box is on its way

Oh, I wasn't going to take anything out to ensure that others had the full range to chose from but after I'd sealed it I noticed the Alt Innsbruck Cologne still on the lounge and couldn't be bother unsealing to put it back in. If anybody REALLY wants to try that let me know and I'll post it on seperately, otherwise I'll keep it.

    Tony,

You know the rule - no pressure!!

I'm a bit verbose so don't feel you have to post like I did. Just enjoy the ride!

Ok. I just saw the pics of the box contents on page 5. Nothing short of dead impressive [v.polite golf clap]. Hoping there's a Box V in the not too distant future. Loving this thread.

    Sick Leave

I urgently needed a few days off work, but,
I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave.

I thought that maybe if I acted 'Crazy' then
he would tell me to take a few days off.

So I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises.

My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing.

I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb
so that the Boss might think I was 'Crazy' and give me a few days off.

A few minutes later the Boss came into the office
and asked, 'What in the name of goodness are you doing?'

I told him I was a light bulb.

He said, 'You are clearly stressed out.'
Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.'

I jumped down and walked out of the office...

When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me,
the Boss asked her, '..And where do you think you're going?!'

    (You're gonna love this....)

She said, 'I'm going home, too. "I can't work in the dark".

The contents of the box are now sprawled out over the kitchen table--the only available flat surface big enough. Getting ready for tomorrow morning, and shave #1. I'm thinking something woodsy with a hint of ginger.

    Safe and sound, thanks mark.

Alright gents. today's shave featured 7am yellow. it was something short of spectacular. But I'll try it out again tomorrow to be fair.

Next up, speick soap, of which i cut off a slice. Lathered up quite nicely, and the scent was in fact woodsy with a hint of ginger. (Blue bear- think Karen gillan, not gillard.) All in all a good product, but i think i was expecting something different. it seems like something i could really like, but it caught me off guard a little. I'll give it another go later in the week.

followed up that song and dance with boosters. it worked well, but swmbo just shrugged at the scent. i wasn't wild about it either. Maybe their other flavours would appeal to me, as my skin does feel great. good product.

dab of geo f trumpers as i ran out the door. seems a bit flowery for my tastes, but we'll see what it has calmed down to when i get off the train.

Admittedly, there's a lot to get through, so i tried a bit last night too... the campos do jordao was nice and got approval from the missus. sadly it faded so quickly i couldn't enjoy it for more than a second. drat. also give the cigar a little test. no dice. swmbo said she thought it was perfume, and asked me next time to try something less frilly.

Ahh, Amy Pond, my teenage daughter's heroine! Not sure I want to think of her and our PM in the same sentence.

Give the 7O'Clock Yellow another go, a reasonable blade I've found but YMMV of course.

You have gotta love the responses from SWMBO!

    Great review mate :-)

Not long to go now. The fantastic reviews are rather daunting to a relatively inexperienced shaver....
