Collaborative Poll Proposal

I know that in a perfect world a DE shave would only shave at skin level, removing the hair, but leaving the skin. But, as inevitably some of the skin is scraped away during the shaving process, I am wondering if the use of an ex-foliant before shaving has any relation to skin irritation.

I would like to start a poll on this topic, but before starting it want to get more input as to what kinds of questions should be asked. I think the obvious four:

1) I use ex-foliant before shave
2) I don't use ex-foliant before shave
3) I get skin irritation
4) I don't get skin irritation

are not enough.

But, perhaps there are so many variable to control for that the above four questions are actually the best to ask to keep things simple.

Perhaps this poll has been done already? But, if not....is this a poll worth doing? And if so, what are others' ideas on how to fashion this poll so as to make it as informative as possible?

I think this is worth doing. I'm very interested in the outcome seeing as how i get skin irritation and don't exfoliate. I also think it would be best just to keep it at these questions for now. You really don't need to get that much more in depth.
