Who would be interested in a sampler pack of blades?

When I started shaving with a DE, I would have loved the opportunity to try all the major blades without having to buy a pack of them all. The other problem I found was there wasn't a place that sold them all, so S&H made doing so even more expensive.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying some small sampler packs of the following blades. I'm willing to purchase some large quantities of them (I already have some) and repackage and send them out for cost. The blades I would package would be:

Merkur Platinum
Israilli Persona
Derby Extra
Feather
Swedish Gillette

If you're interested, please let me know what size packs you would want. 2 each, 5 each, 10 each? Are there other blades you would want to try?

I'm still trying to find a place to buy Feathers in large quantities, so I don't have pricing information yet.

I know I'm new to this board, so I'm willing to sell through eBay, where I have excellent feedback, if it makes people feel secure with the transaction. Eventually, I'd like to just sell the packs direct to avoid the eBay fees.

I'd be interested in Feathers. You here so much about them on this forum but you can't get them in the UK, even Googling for them within thr UK produces no hits!

How many would I need to buy and what would the shipping bwe to the UK?

Hi John. I'm still looking for a retailer willing to give me a break on Feathers. I'm not familiar with shipping to the UK (I'm not a retailer, just a shaving fan), but I'll look into it.

Glad to see you took my advice!

This will definitely be they way to generate some interest among newer members. I'm definitely interested, mainly in the Israeli, Derby and Feather blades.

I've already done a couple of people on this board just be PM'ing and then sending money using PayPal.

To be fair they were both senior members of the board though although that probably wouldn't have stopped me, everyone here seems very honest.

I would definitely be interested in purchasing one of these "sampler" packs, even moreso if the Feathers were included. I could take 5 or 10 of each blade (whatever you decide works for you) and would be happy to leave eBay out of the transaction.

Well, there's at least enough interest for me to make the last of the purchases necessary to do this. I'll do so over the next day or two and post what the final cost is. I'm still looking for a feather retailer that will give me a deal on larger quantities. If you know anyone, PM me.

Thanks Will. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll calculate the price and get an update to everyone soon. It may be a little for the actual blades to get here as I'm waiting for the Swedish Gillettes from the UK.

I'm getting a lot of interest in this, but I'm still waiting on some orders to arrive. I'm going to post a new thread tonight listing prices and get an order list going to see if I ordered enough.
