I'm about to pull the trigger on a houseboat for the 2nd-5th of July for the family vacation this year. While toiling with numbers and time frames--the wife and I have a lot of military stuff going on this summer, leave arrangements, graduation, our Jamaica trip--we decided to scrap the Florida trip we had planned and do this. We delayed for too long and had trouble finding what we wanted at first, but today I got an offer for something that fits our time, size, and is ok on price. It has come down between this and a cabin on an ohio lake equipped with a pontoon boat. I think we've decided on Cumberland since that was the initial plan and the cabin guy hasn't returned my call or email yet.
I know with the holiday it is going to be busy, but does anyone have any experience, advice, and input with this?
