What's new

What are you listening to?

It's Sunday morning and I have Nat King Cole on the Bose.

I love Nat King Cole and favor his early days when he played more jazz oriented stuff with his trio. He was an excellent jazz player but it would have been a sin to keep that voice under wraps which eventually lead him into pop music of the time. If you want to hear something slightly different from him check out the Lester Young Trio with NK Cole, Lester Young (tenor sax) and Buddy Rich. (drums)

Dave Brubeck in Berlin 1964. A classic quartet live CD released only in Japan that I was finally able to get my hands on.
