Anybody using DMT 8000?

Mind you, this question is not for straight honing, but for woodworking tools, kitchen knives or other cutlery tools.

Anyone experienced with it? I wonder its aggresiveness and results. If available some pics would be awesome.:thumbup:
 
I don't go that far with kitchen knives, but I have heard that a lot of people like the edge off the dmt 8k. Polished, but still has a bit of bite, so a very good utility edge. I think there are a lot of pics of edges on bladeforum, lots of knife nuts there :lol:
 
polished but still has some bite? That sounds awesome for a kitchen knife, especially for a slicer. Need to hunt some pics I think, seems like people dont use it here much.
 
I have it, it is a bit more aggressive than the Norton 8k and probably a bit sharper. I think the Norton edge is a bit more comfortable though so I generally use that. I'll probably take the DMT 8k to the kitchen soon...
