    Default Target Shea Moisture Brush

I was in my local Target today and saw that the Shea Moisture Badger Brush at is on sale for 7.99.
So if you're a noob and would like to get a great starter brush at an even better deal then the regular $10 nows your shot. Not sure how long it will be on sale.

My Target was all out when I was there.

I just checked online, and it doesnt show a brush by itself but it shows this neat travel set for $14.99. http://www.target.com/Shea-Moisture-...n&frombrowse=0

They also have a bunch of Col. Conk shave sets, with brushes handles and stands. As Well as shave soaps etc... It looks like they only carry that stuff online, but still, I am surprised to see Target carry all that stuff.

I have one and it's a really good brush, particularly for the price. Works well with both soaps and creams. A little scritchy, but certainly not uncomfortably so. others have reported issues with shedding, but mine hasn't so there may be QC issues.

I've purchased 3 of these brushes, never kept one for my self, they are scritchy, BUT they are wonderful for gifting as an introductory Classic shaving kit to a friend.

The Shea Moisture brush in the travel kit from the link you provided looks like a boar brush to me. I'm use to seeing it in black badger

I had read about the Target Shea Moisture brush awhile back but had never seen it carried by any of the Target stores in my area. A couple of weeks ago I noticed the Target near my office had started carrying it, so I picked it up out of curiosity. It's a great brush and an absolute steal at $8. Mine is a bit floppy which makes me think it might not be ideal for hard soaps, but it does great work with the handful of creams I've tried it with. I have a re-purposed vitamin bottle that holds the brush, disassembled Lord LP1822L (using the shorter handle from the Lord L122), and a few blades which make up the hardware portion of my travel kit (with a travel tube of C.O. Bigelow Proraso cream in my TSA bag).

If you find it floppy, just add a few rubber washers to it. Doing a search will give you the right size. I added two and it made it a nicer brush.

Just gave one of these brushes and a small tube of Proraso cream (CO Bigelow rebrand from Bath and Body Works) to a friend leaving the company -- he's heading for the Europe trip of his dreams. The brush works well with creams, and if you find it a bit floppy, you can hold it at the base of the bristles for a quick workaround while applying the lather.

    The Lord is fabulous.

If I were a soap guy I would probably experiment with rubber bands or washers... but for creams, and really just Proraso since that's what I travel with, it does quite nicely as-is.

Has anyone used one of these day-in-day-out long enough to know if the tips split/soften much over time? While it's scritchier than my daily-use Parker Deluxe Pure, it's not so bad that I would really complain about it... but if a couple of weeks of daily-use would break it in, split the tips, and soften it up enough to notice a difference, I would probably do so... just to make my travels a bit softer :)

After just 3 times, it feels broken in. I've had mine for almost a month.

I've been using the Shave/Shea Moisture Badger in 2 different locations (own 2) and for travel over the past year pretty extensively, with the only exception that I have been pretty steadily using a Tweezerman Badger over the past few months whiel my wife has been using the Shave Moisture.

It feels broken in after a few weeks of use. I also used shampoo and conditioner 3 times in addition to shaving with it to help break it in during the first 2 weeks. Only a few shedded hairs and a little smell... gone by end of second week.

    HTH, Joe.
