Honing a frameback with changeable blades?

I thought that the collective B&B wisdom might be able to help me out with a problem. I've got a French frameback with changeable blades and I'm not sure what the best way to hone it is. If I hone it as per normal, it will start to wear down the spine but that will then give me a different angle for when I hone a different blade as they are not all the same size (some are more worn than others). To get a great edge, you need the blade to be at a particular angle on the hone which is determined by the size of the blade and the spine. What happens though when the size of the blade is different?

Interesting.

I guess you just gotta tape the spine and hope the angles aren't too severe.

Whats the size differences between the blades?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The difference is enough to make a difference (probably 3/16 or 2/8). Perhaps I'll hone up the bigger blade and see how that goes with tape on the spine.

I taped the spine on mine.

I had honing issues with one of them.
Mine is Swiss.... The blade moves in that channel in the frame - it took me a while to figure out why my bevel was wonky.
I read thread where someone said they take the stone to the blade in this situation..
