Never been to Vegas. I'd love to go but timing is everything. So it's an absolute, without-a-doubt solid "maybe."

Hey, just a thought but...what about here in NYC? Javits Center? Or maybe @ the West Side Piers where other trade shows are held? I'm pretty sure Pasteur & Cambridge wouldn't mind.

Vegas is a short hop for me, so heck yeah, if the timing is good. Do you have dates in mind?

There are really good hotel deals now, particularly off the strip. But, Saturday nights are always more pricey. In Downtown the Golden Nugget is a pretty nice place. Stayed there for business and it was fine.

I would probably be willing to help with some funds so some of our student members could attend. It has been 35 years, but I remember being perpetually broke in school.

I surely did not have the funds for a weekend jaunt to Vegas. We lived on grilled cheese sandwiches and pasta. No ramen noodles back then. I could barely afford the bus to get back home for the holidays.

I would truly like to meet some of more experienced members and hear what they have to show and tell on a range of topics, both formally and over a cold one.

Did anyone suggest some sort of a swap event also? Maybe, I missed it above.

Think of it- giant lobsters at the Palm, educational shaving seminars, maybe some badger racing

I don't think SWMBO would think kindly of me if I dragged her of to a shaving convention on our holiday. That is if we where going to USA.
To expensive for me, hence art is still king.

I think it's an awesome idea and if I had some forewarning to save for it and a basic cost structure to plan around I am sure I could make it.

Sorry, Vegas is just not for me. I like the regional ideas (west coast, Midwest, deep south, and east coast) and anywhere in the Caribbean would get me on a plane.

I live on the East Coast and would definitely consider it if was somewhere between Washington DC and New York, but LA is a bit of a stretch.

all depends on day of the week m-th is out...f-s im in. ill drive up from phoenix in the van. i could split the gas with say 4-5 others that may want to pool from phoenix area. besides the con it would give me a op to visit with some family i havent seen in 20 years.sounds like a great idea if you guys can get space at a reasonable ticket price for us.

im not sure how the b&b guys are as far as srp.com peoples but i have talked to one of the guys and was told this idea would be great if it actually happened so it might be a good idea to let them know whats going on,i find myself between b&b.com, srp.com, and coticule.be almost everyday and i think it would be so informative and great to be able to hit this con and see a bit of everything. if i missed any of the good sites to hit regularly please send me a mail,i really enjoy finding new places that are GOOD.
