    Default Canadian long weekend PIF

Benton Clay would love to hear what you're doing this Victoria Day/May 24 weekend. Are you doing anything special? Do you have a special shave routine? Or is this the one time of year you let your beard go for a few days? Maybe, depending upon where you live you've been hammered by fire or flood, so perhaps you're not celebrating at all and if so you are in our thoughts. Whatever your state of affairs this weekend, weigh in here with your comments and if your name is drawn, I'll send you a free sample of Benton Clay soap in a new scent I am testing. 10 winners will be drawn at random.

This PIF is for Canadians only this time, and you have to have more than 50 posts. If you have won a Benton Clay contest previously, feel free to post; however, your name will not be entered into the draw. Follow Benton Clay on Twitter or Facebook and double or triple your chances. And don't forget about our second annual Father's Day Tribute contest - another great place to share your stories.

Well I would like to join. You want to know what I am doing this weekend?

Well tonight I am helping a friend put a pool and then tomorrow I am going to kidnap him as it is a surprise party. I have to spend 8 hours with him so I am going to go to flea markets so I can also look for some nice antique shavers for sale or stuff like that. After spending 8 hours with him, I will bring him back and let him be surprised by the 25 cars infront of his house.

Sunday, I am just spending the time with the GF at her cottage and then coming home for Monday and back to work I go.

As for shaving, I have no special plans. Maybe trying a new razor blade in my futur but since I am a newer member, I don't have alot of stuff to try out. Well hopefully this is good enough to enter me in this great PIF and I will check out the FB page and follow it as samples to try new soaps as a newbie are always great for see what product offers what kind of performance.

    Thanks

I'm headed out first thing tomorrow morning on a hike to photograph from the bottom of Tew's Falls near Hamilton. Hit the gym Sunday morning and Monday since it's raining (again) in Toronto, I'm going to the AGO and dinner later on with close friend.

As for shaving routine, Proraso tomorrow, don't know Sunday and it will be T&H Grafton cream, ASB and cologne on Monday.

I think I am discounted from participated as I received a vetiver soap sample from you a few months ago, but here's what's on tap for SWMBO & I....

Saturday... Go eyeball some houses in Toronto. Looking at bungalows from the 60's & 70's as we're not getting any younger and she's got a wonky knee. (Is that why I wake up with a crick in my back? )

Sunday... Just got invited by some friends for a day-trip to Rochester NY for some shopping. SWMBO's been wanting to see where they shop there. We normally just do Buffalo on our cross-border excursions to do our part to help the US economy.

Monday.... She hasn't told me yet

do NOT include me (previous winner)

it was supposed to be our 1st w/end of the year camping, but out site is under water

then we got a call that our Canada Day long w/end site is also under wate, actaully 7 of the 8 bays at the campground are under.

so i'll be scrambling to find a decent Canada Day w/end site this weekend. looks like it's going to rain here anyway, so it might have worked out for the best that we got cancelled this w/end, but it was still a bummer to have 2 long w/ends cancelled on us by Parks Manitoba

It will be a very very quiet weekend for me and my family. I've been extremely busy with work, SWMBO has been a student for the last 3 years, this week was her last one so she's been busy too. We moved into a new house last month too.. lost of unpacking.

I have about 8 hours of weed pulling to do in the yard, but that will be very ZEN compared to the last few weeks!

I look forward to relaxing during the evening, maybe with a good glass of scotch :)

this weekend I am heading up to the west coast of vancouver island (tofino) I have been asked to help my father in-law work on his cabin. I am a journeyman carpenter and his cabin has sunk a couple inches on one side. So I will spend my weekend crawling around under the cabin with a 20 ton jack lol

Lots of yard work and relaxing this weekend. Since I work shift work, SWMBO and I rarely get 3 days off together, so this is like a mini-vacation. Wine shall be consumed on the deck, BBQ steak and chicken will be consumed, sleeping in will occur.
On the shaving front, 3 days of straight razor enjoyment are forecast. To celebrate the beginning of summer, some citrus and Bay Rum products will definitely be used!

Oh, ya, and waiting for the Rapture today. Almost forgot about that!

I'd like to be included Dave ~ thank you for the great PIF...

Waterlogged in Winnipeg, but still plan on getting some stuff done. I have my "honey-do" list to take care of, but some fun. Going to be B-B-Q ing something up, more than a couple of beers will be comsumed, & if there's time I may get started on the annual JEEP detailing (this one usually take's the better part of a week........) Just received a slant 39, so I'm probably going to let me face heal from my first attempt & shave Monday....................

Other than that, just enjoying the extra time with my family.

    Default Great PIF

I was at the Vancouver Craft Beer week last week, so my long weekend will be spent working. However, a nice hot shave with my new dirty bird 1.5 is on the schedule for Sunday.

I swapped out the winter tires on the family van, I figure we're not getting any more snow (sure... this is Calgary)
Was laid up with a stomach thing for Sunday... I think I had a bad barbequed sausage the day before. I figure I'll see my mom and dad tomorrow and then mow the lawn on Monday

    Hi Dave,

I received the samples today. Can you clarify the scents for me? One smells of bergamot, so I assume it is the Lime-Bergamot, but I'm not sure what the other one is. I look forward to trying them. Tomorrow morning will come soon!
