Default Not as rough as I thought!

I have been using a safety razor for about a week and so far no blood!

I think I have a Gillette tech (not sure I got it on ebay)

    Wilkinson Sword blades from walmart

    New tweezerman brush & stand

neutrogena shave lotion/cream my wife picked up

    proraso.

I like it Im not the best but switching creams and getting rid of the mach 3 I have been using for the last 15 years has made a HUGE difference. Im not that fast at it yet but I do not mind shaving anymore - I kind of like it!

Nice to have you aboard, and good luck with your shaves.

My educated guess would be that in time you might replace some if not all items. It's part of the wet shaving fun

Maybe you'll find a nice R89 at the B/S/T, or a nice vintage TO Gillette. Then the Wilkinsons make way for a blade sampler or some Feathers. Some classic creams or soaps. Upgrade the brush.

It's gonna be a fun ride

    Cool!

A blade sampler would be a great investment right now. Each blade shaves a bit differently, and the experience will boost your shaving skills.

Thanks guys! I just found out my wife got me a Gillette 1963 Regular Super-Speed off of ebay for our 9th aniversary. She said she gave $9.05 + $6 shipping and that it is very good to excelent shape (hope she got a good deal). I tried a new package of the Wilkinsons today and I think I got the best shave I have ever had! I can tell I am getting a little better every day. Where would be the best place to get a blade sampler?

From one of our supporting vendors. http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index...orting_Vendors

I've used Bull Goose and West Coast Shaving with success. Looks like Lee's, Razor Blades and more, and Royal Shave also have sampler packs. Find a pack that fits your budget.
