I've been wetshaving / DE shaving for a little less than a month and it's all going quite well. A few days with some irritation, no major trauma, mostly very good shaves, some great shaves. Today I got to the Feather from my sampler pack and found it worked quite nicely (in a Progress set at 3).
And now for the question:
The hair on and just below my jaw runs obliquely down and in (toward the center) -- this makes it very difficult to shave ATG since only about 1/3 of the razor can contact my skin this way. I can do it without nicks or much irritation, but it's slow and tedious. I've tried J-hooking, but it doesn't completely solve the problem. I also pull up my cheek but that only partially helps as well. Perhaps a Gillette slide would be good, but that's kinda tricky in this area.
My QED shave sticks are arriving today, I'm thinking that could help.
Any other suggestions?
