Put my Merkur HD through the dishwasher today - it did a wonderful job. Maybe I wouldn't put an vintage or adjustable razor through it, but the HD is just two pieces of heavily chromed metal.

No, but rest assured I'm going to.
I have an old Tech that needs a bit of a cleaning. I'll run it through the DW tonight and post the results, with pics, in this thread.

Try it without any diswashing detergent. The heated water may do a good enough job without the risk of corrosion.

For the old Tech, maybe without detergent, but the HD is sturdier than anything I use in the kitchen, or on the dining table!
Oh, and I just heaved the HD in (in two pieces) with everything else - it all comes out sterilized, anyway.
