Bought a wine as a gift, was it a good choice?

There is a good colleague of mine who helped me tremendously. I wanted to buy a good wine. Not cheap, a good wine with a great name. I did not want to exaggerate by buying a wine of 400 dollars.

Looks interesting, any idea of the vintage? Amarone is generally a big, robust wine, so if your colleague likes big red wines (Napa cabernets, Australian shiraz or California zinfandels), it's probably a good choice!
