Default 100 Boar brushes for $.50 each

Ok so I didn't count how many, but it was a lot!

I was at an odd lot store today and saw a bin with maybe a hundred boar brushes in it for $.50 per. I almost bought a handful, but saw they were made in China. BTW, black wood handles, and I just figured they wouldn't be sealed inside. I didn't have any way to measure them, but they were slightly smaller than my Semogue 1438.

Anyone know anything about these brushes? Yeah, I know a pic would be nice, but I don't have one. Anyone have a use for these brushes?

Someday that store will have high end soaps/creams and I'll buy the entire lot.

Were they small? Likely will shed a lot, have loose knots and not be good. If they are even a little good, they are great to have around for giveaways. Often we can come up with a razor, cream and blades, but brushes seem harder to come by.

They weren't tiny, just slightly smaller than a face lathering brush.

Yeah, That's what I was thinking too. I just hate to PIF crap to someone. I think I'll go back with some soap and try one in the mens room.

Making a judgement call without even seeing the item? WOW!
I know the price is ridiculous but hey, maybe they were missmarked, who knows?

You could try one. Worst case scenario, you lose 50c

    Heck, try 4.

I have bought some great stuff in odd lot stores. Never know what you are going to find.

Buy a few. If they are crap then use them for cleaning or painting.

I'd be in for a few if you pick some up.

For 50 cents it sounds like a good investment to at least try a couple. And if they don't work well for shaving they might work just fine for applying talc like the barber does if you use talc.

    I'm resisting a "boar/bore" pun.
