I agree. Got it for Christmas. Just make sure not to over tighten the bakelite cap, or else... "crack".

How would you compare it to Floid Amber? I've not tried that either. I wonder why it's so much more expensive than Vitos.

I ordered a bottle based on this thread.

I sure hope it suits me, it comes in a BIG bottle...

.........I love the floids, both blue & amber , spanish and italian ,but vito's aftershaving is unique. I don't smell or feel menthol in the vitos,it is more spicey than both, and the powdery dry down is far superior to any of the floids. It really smells like you just stepped out of a barbershop in the 1950's..

Good to know! I missed the thread when it came out! You still like it as much? Have you tried any other Vito's AS?

yes...I have them all except the tobacco,I was afriad to try that one....they all are nice, the lavanda is not up to the standards of atkinsons, coldinava, claus porto ,lavanda puig or vintage yardley ,but it is still nice...Except for the "aftershaving" aftershave,I find a slight "synthetic" type scent, mingled in with the good stuff,it does seem to dissipate rapidly however. The mentolo is very refreshing, and the "ice" is nice and bold.Fantastic heavy glass bottles with cheap caps and a very cheezy label that is hard to read and looks like someone tossed drops of mud across it.

    Day three.

I see this being part of my routine very frequently.

    SWEET, POWDERY, MUSK, AND CLEAN.

    NICE, thanks for recommending!

Glad you dug this up. I'll this and the tobacco to the order I'm getting ready to make for 2kg of vitos soap (green and red dot).

I wouldn't mind trying this, but I do not need 400ml of any AS!

But how can you know that if you haven't tried it yet? I would send you a sample but I'm in Canada - I don't think I can send it to you across the border.

Wow. This thread has me tempted. I have been trying to decide on another non menthol splash to add to my rotation, and this one sounds perfect for me. 400ml is so large that it would be nice to try it first. If anyone would like to trade a sample of Vitos for something, send me a pm and let me know what you are looking for. Maybe I should just buy it...

What's not to love about a giant glass bottle full of orangey-amber aftershave? Not to mention the neat little plastic stopper that keep the AS from spilling out, if you have the cap off. I have held onto it, and put it back in when not in use.

It also keeps the alcohol from slow evaporation, and that keeps the brew potent !
