Default PIF: Sonoma Scent Studio's FIRESIDE INTENSE

PIF is CLOSED. Winners are BRuhling, rickboone1, cls and barneyb.

Up for grabs is a bottle of Sonoma Scent Studio's Fireside Intense Extrait in a 34ml bottle, which will be offered as decants to four B&B members. While I may be slightly biased with Laurie's creations, I think this is really nice juice. However, I have come to terms with the fact that I am a sandalwood loving fool and have decided someone else may get more mileage out of the bottle. And being an extrait this little bottle will provide plenty of mileage.

I attempted to sell this a couple weeks ago, and I tried to trade it this weekend, but to no avail. It seems no one on B&B likes wood or leather frangrances. Be that as it may I figured I would go ahead and post a PIF. I fully expect no one will reply, but if I am mistaken I will close the PIF on Tuesday, May 10th, at 5:00 PST. I will then select a random winners out of those that expressed interest in the thread. This PIF is open to all B&B members.

Details from the Somona Scent Studio website are as follows:

    http://www.sonomascentstudio.com/firesideintense.shtml.

This smoky woods fragrance captures the oddly satisfying scent of smoked woods carried by the crisp fall air or emanating from an evening campfire. Fireside Intense opens with a fairly strong leather and smoke accord that mellows into a drydown of beautiful smoky woods, soft leather, and a touch of deep agarwoood. The fragrance has a very high percentage of natural oils and resins that provide a soft but lasting natural, outdoorsy drydown.

Fragrance Notes: Guaiacwood, nagarmotha (Cyperus), Texas cedar, Himalayan cedar, Indian sandalwood, agarwood, birch tar, cade, leather, oakmoss absolute, castoreum, ambergris.

I would be willing to try it. If I don't like it, I will PIF it back to the community. Thanks for the offer.
I'm experiencing a sensation altogether new to me, and frankly... I LOVE IT!

I'd certainly be willing to give it a try and PIF it on, if it doesn't agree with my nose. (Or more importantly, SWMBO's nose!)

Count me in Michael! If I had sampled it before odds are I would have purchased it along with the Tabac Aurea awhile back.

Very nice of you, Michael! I won't participate, but wanted to say well done. I'll look forward to reading the winners comments when they try it.

I don't really like leathery scents, but the campfire aspect has me intrigued. I'd be glad to give it a try. Count me in.

I'm good with a decant, just wanted to add.

I looked at all the Sonoma Scent Studio stuff you had for sale and frankly I ignored them because I don't know the line well enough. However, I love leather and smoke (Lonestar Memories anyone?) and would love to get in on a PIF!

    Very generous of you, thanks!
And best wishes to the lucky winner!

EDIT: I think a decant is perfectly suitable, given the interest. That means more labor on your part and more expenses (add in the atomizers and multiple mailings) but the choice is yours to make.

This is excellent juice, gents. But beware - it's strong. A little bit goes a long way.

    Nice PIF, Michael!

Awesome PIF and generosity. Count me in.

I think the season may have made it a tougher sell right now.

*Updated Response* I'd personally prefer a decant. I have an ever growing collection of bottles, decants, and samples, and also would be happier to see this stuff spread around the community, especially since I might wear it once, and then throw it on the shelf for the next 5-6 months until fall. But, breaking it down into decants means extra work and cost for you. Whatever you do, youre being very generous.

As an afterthought, I was wondering if members were more interested at having a shot at the whole bottle, or an opportunity to win an 8.5ml decant. I know it might be a silly question among the hoarding hordes, but I believe I have some 10ml glass bottles with atomizers and aluminum casings. With those bottles I could make 4 equal-sized portions, thus increasing the odds of you winning and spreading the smoke, leather and woods around the community a bit.

For the time being it will remain a PIF for the whole kit and caboodle, but if you care to comment feel free to send me a PM or reply in the thread. (You can edit your original post if you already responded in the thread, and I will read them over.)

    Thanks.

I think decants would be great. 34 mL is a lot of juice especially from this house (a little goes a long ways).

Anyway, great offering again whatever you decide.
