I got the idea from this thread from Shavely Manden's My Little Pony thread.
I mainly follow The Preakness. I'm a native Balti-Moron, and used to live right down the street from Pimlico. I've always wanted to attend one of the famous Infield Parties, but haven't made it yet.

I'm not a big fan of horse racing. If the horses didn't have such fragile legs and the staff didn't need to kill one seemingly every other race, I wouldn't have as much an issue with it. They have been bred to a point where it is almost inhumane to race them because of the bad genes.
I love the races. But yeah. Gotta agree w/ Mr. A about the breeding. These horses are also running so much faster today.
My problem is that they stacked these three so close together that the horse barely gets time to fully recover. If at all.

The derby is only two days away and I didn't see much discussion. Anyone playing? I have a bunch of bets lined up and am excited. This race is pretty even and the favorites/wiseguy horses all have good starting posts. SHould be very exciting!
