Last night was the first time I have shaved since April 9th! April 9th was the end of the Washington Capitals regular season and the the beginning of their playoff. The long standing tradition in the NHL is that players put down their razors and grow a playoff beard. I took on this challenge and stood by my team. http://www.beardathon.com/capitals/GFreg/profile.aspx
We were unable to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup but at least we made some money for charity on the way there. I shaved last night after we were defeated by the Tampa Bay Lightning. The shave den was filled with mixed emotions. I could not wait to rid myself of that beard yet I wish it could have stayed a little longer to see the Capitals bring home the Cup. A nice hot prep, some TOBS Eton College and an EJ DE86 loaded with a Bic Chrome Platinum helped to get over the loss.
