    Default Plisson Identification

    Hallo together,

i've found this Plisson Brush and ask myself which model it is and how i can differentiate a grey Plisson and a white Plisson? Does someone now this angular horn handle.

The brush is unused but i think it must be an older model. I've the original box too and there is written down "501/12"

    Measurement:

    Taille Size 10
    Diamètre 20Mm
    Sortie 53Mm
    Diameter 0,787Inches
    Length 2,086Inches

    Thanks for helping!

Can't help with ID, but possibly the best looking Plisson I've seen. Love the handle.

    thank you!

is there any possibility to clean up/ shine up / bright up the hairs? the hairs smells very old and i think that the hairs yellowed over the years.

i'm very new to this topic of cleaning brushes. i put my brushes in hot water and vinegar. i heard that will loose the soap...

comparing picture with my other silvertip brushes

badger hair seems to yellow on its own as it ages. I have a few vintages in a couple degree's of yellow. It doesn't seem to affect them (hair also seems to soften as it ages).

Interesting, the picture that Drp has shows the stickers that I thought it came with originally.

Kinda a long story but there was same Plisson I was after for a restore off of France's ebay, as it turns out I was sniped at the last second by someone from the States. He restored it with a Chinese knot (TGN I think) & some new style stickers as per the OP's one. He flipped it on Ebay a month or so ago for less money than he paid for the handle .

I did some digging at the time but other than a few pic's I could find nothing about the brush, one of the brush collectors over at "the shave den" has one but definitely not common.

I would personally give it a cleaning run (shampoo, conditioner & vinegar rinse) & run a few lathers through it, its too pretty a brush to leave unused. If its a shedder It's worthy of a decent re-knot but only from Plisson IMO if you want to keep its value.

You could just sell it to me though
