Default Queen Charlotte Soaps May updates, new hard tallow/lanolin shaving soap

We are happy to announce the release of our hard shaving soap. Tallow is the first ingredient. Our shaving soap also contains many other ingredients loved by wet shavers, such as shea butter, cocoa butter, and lanolin. We are currently offering it in five scents: Cayman, Key Lime, Lavender, Vostok, and a limited edition Green Irish Tweed type. The first four are scented with only essential oils, while the Green Irish Tweed type is scented with fragrance oil. You have the choice of purchasing the shaving soap in a wooden bowl or in refill form.

We are also offering a limited time Green Irish Tweed type shaving cream.

In our hand and body soap assortment, we now have a Vostok hand and body soap available. Like the shaving cream and soap, it contains menthol. We also have a few other scents that are perfect for the upcoming warmer days: Eucalyptus Spearmint, Ocean Waves, Pink Grapefruit, and Pomegranate. All of these qualify for our four soaps for $15 deal.

To show you our appreciation for your business, we have a discount for you. Please use the discount code “bandb11” (without the quotations) to receive 5% off of your order. The discount code can be used unlimited times and is good until the end of the year.

You can also fan us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

    Thank you for looking,
    Matthew

    C a n ' t r e s i s t...

Just a question, Matt. How would you compare your soap to the creams? I was all ready to buy a tub of cream, but I am interested in the differences. Is the fragrance more subdued (as most soaps seem to be when compared with same-scented creams) or is it just as potent? Performance-wise, not saying one is better than the other, but what are the differences between the two?

Thanks for any info. Looking forward to placing another order soon.

(BTW, maybe I missed it, but any info on the AS experiment?)

(Okay, maybe Owen had something to do with it as well.

    Man...

I bought two tubs of cream and some samples at 9:13. Literally the minute after you announced this. I wish I had picked up some soap

I wonder if I could modify my order? Maybe swap some GIT cream for soap? I know it would cost a few extra dollars to add the bowl, but I want it!

Performance-wise, I would say the cream and soap are fairly close. The lather from the cream is more dense and rich, but the lather from the soap is slicker. Scent-wise, I think the soap is on the stronger side of the scent spectrum when compared to other non-melt-and-pour soaps, but subdued when compared to our shaving cream, but only slightly (my opinion). Generally, creams provide more cushion, while soaps provide more slickness, but I believe the cream vs. soap thing comes down to preference. Some prefer creams, some prefer soaps.

The aftershaves look good. We are now working on perfecting the scents. Unfortunately, I do not have a release time frame or date.

Matt must be a mindreader. There were some recent threads asking about tallow/lanolin products, et voila!

    Good luck!

So with this information guiding me to find out which I prefer, I did the only logical thing and ordered some of each (plus the shampoo bar which I couldn't be without now).

    Thanks for the assist Matt.

Hope to try some soon. Definitely next on my list. I was going to try the cream but can't wait to see what everyone thinks about the new soaps.

    Cool.

Now I'll just have to get some samples.

Any consideration to doing an unscented version for those who are sensitive to fragrances/EOs?
    Cheers,
    Francesco

We used to sell an unscented version of the shaving cream, but there was almost no demand for it. If you would like an unscented version of either cream or soap, we could always discuss a custom order. There would be no extra charge for an unscented custom order.

Congratulations Matt. QCS is on the upward side of things and that is for sure. Now I have to try some of your creams to go along with the soap I know will be ordered. Thank you.

matthew, to hijack your thread a bit, do you recommend any particular rinse for use with your shampoo bars???
