Has Aqua Velva changed?

I was going to pick up a plastic bottle of Aqua Velva aftershave to refill my glass AV bottle in time for summer, but when I opened the bottle to get a whiff of that wonderful stuff, something was missing.

It didn't smell the same! The smell of "cool" was gone. In fact, there was hardly any smell at all.

Please tell me I'm just imagining this. Aqua Velva didn't change the formula when they went to plastic, did they? I'm hoping that it was just a stale bottle, and a fresh one will still have that much-beloved stench!

I can't tell any difference. Must have been a bad bottle.

My Dad use to work with a guy that would drink it. He said that the guy just reeked of Aque Velva.

The best way to know would be to post the ingredient list of a bottle that smells "the same" and the "different one".

I have at least 20 years of AV in the glass bottles. I did get a new bottle for travel and it smells indentical.

Some interaction between the plastic and the AV. I decanted a plastic bottle that smelled a little different into a glass bottle and a few days later, it was good as new. Or at least close enough that I don't notice.
