Cella Transfer?

Can you take Cella out of it's red tub and put it in a wooden bowl? I've never tried Cella, thinking about ordering some though. Just like the look of wooden or ceramic bowls over plastic. I don't think I see any problems doing this.

Is it a paste or cream? What's the consitency like?

between silly putty and modeling clay. Yes, I think you could transfer it to a wooden bowl if you wanted to without too much diffuculty.

No problem transferring the soap, it's quite soft. I would not, however, recommend storing it in a wooden bowl with a resting lid. Others might disagree with this but I prefer to keep all of my soft soaps in airtight containers to prevent drying.

I transfer about 1/4th at a time from the red tub into an empty TOBS container for use so you should have no problem with a wooden tub.

I keep mine in a marble "thingy" that has a lid. I simply run a tongue depressor around the edge of the Cella (or Omega, Proraso, etc.) and it plops out intact, been doing it for years, product is as good as new a year later

I put mine in a glass bowl with an air-tight lid. I recommend putting it in a bowl that's deeper so that the lather doesn't spill out over the sides while you're loading your brush.

The air tight lid is recommended by some and others say it's not necessary. I chose to go air tight but many gents have not and I have not heard of any one's soap going bad.

By all means, get it out of that chincy red tub (which I might add isn't exactly air tight). You'll find a wider container will make brush loading easier.

I like the little red dish, perfect for travel. I tend to be on the road 6 -20 days at a time and the Cella in the dish is perfect.
