I did a super quickie hone job on a new razor, and didn't fully check it out prior to dashing out for a lunchtime shave at the gym.

Result? Crappy shave, razor burn, and a decided lack of closeness.

You must be getting old- I can pick out that kind of crappy edge just by squinting my good eye and flashing the bevel in the light from the fridge as open the door and grab piece of cold pizza and a Primo.

Yeah, yeah.....I hear you. I was in a big rush. I set the bevel lickity split on the DMT600 ( I was also trying to correct a couple of contour errors in the blade outline), followed up with the 1200, and then feeling bold, instead of the lapping films, I went direct to the Dovo red strop....

I was a bit too hasty, and I paid the price.

I need one of them Primos, Bro!
